Tired of seeing his 23-year-old son Xiao Feng play video games instead of job hunting, Mr. Feng of Jiangxi province, China hired high level hitmen in several online role playing games to kill his son’s characters every time he logged in. After Xiao Feng caught on to his father’s meddling, he told his father he was taking his time on the job hunt because he wanted to find one that fit him best. His father said he was relieved to hear this, but it is unknown whether or not the hitmen have been called off, according to Kotaku.

Yesterday morning, absolute chaos unfolded on one of the escalators at a PATH station in Jersey City, NJ, when the machine suddenly reversed direction against the full load of passengers trying to get to street level. Tumblr blogger Julie ran into this little guy in a friend’s insect collection and decided to throw him a birthday party, knowing he would soon die. Thanks to Tumblr’s support, Julie set him free.

I found this caterpillar for a peer’s insect collection. Knowing that he would ultimately meet his death, we decided to throw him a birthday party.
